Last Friday, my friend and I signed off on The Great Editing Marathon 2013. We handed over our last critiques and sat back, congratulating ourselves for sticking to it through a grueling five weeks of editing.
It wasn’t fun. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t easy. And, I have the paper cuts and tired eyes to prove it. But now, last year’s NaNoWriMo books each have edits and critiques. How exciting! But, then, that nagging question arises – Now what?
Since we are either insane or simply gluttons for punishments, we have decided to embark upon The Great Editing Marathon 2013 Version 2.0. While we are rewriting our edited copies of the ones we just finished, we are going to edit and critique 2011’s NaNo material. Seven chapters a pop.
And, if that wasn’t enough already, we promised to have an elevator blurb written about each of our two latest books to go over on Friday when we meet again.
Add on top of this family, full-time teaching job, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and everything else thrown at a person during the week.
I’ve decided that writers must be superhuman. 🙂
